Professional History

Jennifer pursued Nursing as it is a career that is rooted in holistic, highly compassionate, evidence-based care to improve the wellness of patients. She began her Nursing career as a bedside nurse on a Trauma Medical-Surgical Unit in Philadelphia, PA. To further her education, she attended the University of Pennsylvania and earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner on an Acute Care Surgery-Trauma service at a Boston Hospital and later earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree at MGH Institute of Health Professions. She is honored to work at Boston Children's Hospital in the General Surgery Department and strives to provide excellent care for patients and their families.

I value open and honest communication between healthcare staff with patients and their families, empowering families to be active participants in their child's healthcare, and believe that the collaboration of healthcare professionals, patients, and their families leads to improved patient outcomes.
