Philosophy of Care

Stephanie loves the continuity of working in pediatric primary care and the added bonus of getting to help young family’s transition through the varying stages of child rearing. She believes that through patience and collaboration, healthcare providers can work with their patients and their families to find mutually regarded goals for their health leading to better health outcomes.

Stephanie Martins graduated with her Masters in Science in Nursing with a specialized focus on pediatric primary care from Boston College. She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She previously graduated from Worcester State University with her BSN where she served as the President of her nursing class.

During her time working as a Registered Nurse, she worked in a variety of settings including: providing postpartum care to newborns and their mothers and at an inner-city pediatric primary care health center affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital. She also worked for years a a Registered Nurse at Westwood Mansfield Pediatrics before switching into the Nurse Practitioner role!

Her favorite part of working in primary care is the family centered approach.
