Kayla Lesser | Professional History

Kayla earned her master’s degree in social work from New York University and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). She currently works with clients ages 15 and older utilizing a cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral approach to manage depression, anxiety, poor peer relations, codependency, mood disorders, and low self-esteem. Kayla views herself as an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and strives to be open-minded and always accepting of her clients.

Kayla also has extensive experience working with those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias, often working with caregivers to improve their self-care habits.

When Kayla is not at the office with clients, she is teaching psychology courses at St. Thomas Aquinas College and Mount Saint Mary’s College. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys hiking with her dogs, cooking and helping manage her husband’s local business.
