Sandra Crapanzano has more than 30 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker. She started her own private practice in 2002, where her clients have ranged from people with new and existing physical disabilities to young children with emotional issues to adult survivors of child sexual abuse. She has worked with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, postpartum, and grief counseling for children and adults. Before beginning her work in private practice, Sandra spent fifteen years at Helen Hayes Hospital, as a medical social worker helping a variety of patients and families cope with the traumatic lifestyle changes that caused them to be hospitalized.

Sandra received her Bachelor of Social Work from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her Master of Social Work from New York University. She also obtained her certificate in Psychoanalysis from the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis in 2002. She believes that everyone has the ability to change their life, with consistency, determination and self awareness of how their footprint affects the relationships around them.
