Michele Ledesma | Professional History
Dr. Ledesma grew up in the Philippines. She graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a BS Psychology (with honors) and earned her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine & Surgery, graduating cum laude. She moved to the US to further her medical training. Dr Ledesma completed her pediatric residency at St Barnabas Hospital in New York and went on to fellowship in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics at Yale University-Yale New Haven Hospital.
Dr. Ledesma is board certified in both Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and General Pediatrics, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also serves as co-chair for social media communications and is on the Complex ADHD Guideline Dissemination & Implementation Committee for the Society of Developmental Pediatrics. In addition, Dr. Ledesma regularly contributes to the Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics and has authored several chapters for Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics textbooks. Dr. Ledesma is the education director for the division of DBP for BCHP, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, and New York Medical College.
Dr. Ledesma lives in New Jersey with her husband. She enjoys traveling and stays active by doing barre and Pilates regularly.
