Melissa Cellini | Professional History

Dr. Cellini, MD, Med, FAAP grew up in Rockland County, the eldest of five. She graduated from Boston College with a BS in chemistry and then from Sidney Kimmel Medical College (formerly Jefferson Medical College) in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her pediatric training at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. She then completed a 3-year Academic General Pediatric fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY where she also obtained a master’s degree in health professional education at the University of Rochester. Her research interests include curriculum program evaluation, mentorship, and trainee well-being. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Cellini joined Boston Children’s Health Physicians as a Pediatric Hospitalist in 2015 and currently practices Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. She has also been an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College since 2016 and is currently the Assistant Director for the Foundations of Clinical Medicine course for year 1 and 2 medical students. In addition to pediatrics and medical education, Dr. Cellini’s passions include family (especially her young sons) and Disney.
