Lauren Matera

Lauren E. Matera, DO is a specialist in Adolescent Medicine at Boston Children’s Health Physicians, in Hawthorne, NY. Her clinical areas of interest include contraception care (including IUD and implant placement), gender affirming care and the care of LGBTQ+ young people, treatment of depression and anxiety, eating disorder care, and adolescent primary care.

Dr. Matera earned her D.O. from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (2017) and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Notre Dame (2012). She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH (2020) and her fellowship in Adolescent Medicine also at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (2023). She is currently completing her Master of Public Health degree at The Ohio State University and will graduate in 2023.
