Professional History

Joanna Weinberg, PhD, earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University, and received advanced training at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Weinberg has received specialized training in Pediatric Neuropsychology and Pediatric Consultation, as well as conducted research and presented in the areas of violence prevention and intervention and the relationship between stress and biomedical health. She has been providing evaluation, consultation, brief treatment, triage and referral guidance services at Hyde Park Pediatrics since 2014.

The foundation of my care is built upon providing warmth, lots of encouragement, and humor to the children and families that I work with at Hyde Park Pediatrics. I often use CBT and Positive Psychology practices in my consultation, and value a collaborative and strengths-focused approach. I welcome patients and families from all backgrounds and I strive for culturally responsive and attuned care.
