Irfan Warsy | Professional History

Dr. Warsy is currently Director of Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology at Maria Farreri Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the New York Medical College. He joined the faculty in September, 2010. Dr. Warsy’s area of expertise includes the diagnosis and management of complex arrhythmias in children and young adults. Dr. Warsy did his pediatric residency at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, before completing his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Yale University, New Haven, CT. He then pursued a fellowship in pediatric cardiac electrophysiology at Duke University, Durham, NC, before arriving in Valhalla. Dr. Warsy’s specific area of interest includes catheter-based techniques for the treatment of heart rhythm abnormalities. He has also worked extensively on pacemaker and Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD) implantation. His areas of research interest include the utilization of non-invasive heart rhythm monitoring tools in arrhythmia management. Dr. Warsy lives in Connecticut with his wife and daughter, and enjoys spending time with his family in his free time.
