Daniel Vu | Professional History

Daniel M. Vu, MD is a fellowship-trained pediatric glaucoma specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. After finishing ophthalmology residency at Duke University, he completed his glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he received additional training in pediatric glaucoma management and surgery. His research goal is to identify areas of impaired drainage in glaucoma and improve visualization for surgical techniques that target the iridocorneal angle. Additionally, he is a collaborator in the Childhood Glaucoma Research Network, an international group of pediatric glaucoma specialists that focuses on improving the diagnosis and management of children with glaucoma through large, multicenter studies. The goal of this collaboration is to improve the longterm outcomes for patients with this blinding disease.
