I developed a strong interest in a career in medicine at an early age, drawn to cardiology in particular because of my own experience as a congenital heart patient. As a physician in the cardiac intensive care unit, I serve patients and families at some of the most critical moments in their journeys with congenital heart disease, and I hope that my own experience allows me to act with greater compassion and empathy.
