Dr. Ward was born and raised in New Jersey, and moved to Boston to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry at Boston College. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry (NECO). As a fourth year extern, she rotated through the pediatric ophthalmology and optometry clinics at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. She then pursued a residency in pediatric optometry at NECO, including rotations at Boston Children's Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, and Perkins School for the Blind. Her clinical interests include comprehensive pediatric eye examinations, strabismus, amblyopia, contact lens fittings, pediatric low vision, and myopia management.
