Newborn Medicine Program Overview

The Community Newborn Medicine program at Boston Children's Hospital cares for ill and recovering newborns in a family-centered, community setting. Our community-based Newborn Medicine faculty provide advanced newborn therapies in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) and in Special Care Nurseries (SCN) in many eastern Massachusetts medical centers and community hospitals. So even if you're far from Boston, you're still within reach of excellent care.

Who We Work With

At  eight locations outside of Boston, our team of Boston Children's physicians work with healthcare providers at our community hospital partner locations who are exceptionally qualified to meet the medical and emotional needs of newborns and their families in the local community.
