Contact the Craniofacial Anomalies Program

Boston’s Children's pediatric craniofacial specialists treats craniofacial anomalies in children, covering a wide variety of congenital and acquired deformities. Our Cleft Lip and Palate Program, for example, is one of the largest and most well-known of its kind anywhere in the world.

Every year, Boston Children's Hospital's pediatric craniofacial specialists treats more than 500 patients—from infants to adults—living with craniofacial anomalies that are either present at birth or sustained later in life, often through trauma or disease.

Drawing from our extensive experience treating craniofacial anomalies in children, we use a multidisciplinary approach to ensure the right treatment for your child's individual symptoms and circumstances. In addition to pediatric craniofacial specialists members of our Craniofacial Anomalies Program team include:

  • neurosurgeons
  • plastic surgeons
  • oral and maxillofacial surgeons
  • hearing specialists
  • speech therapists
  • dentists
  • psychologists and social workers
  • nursing professionals
  • geneticists
  • otolaryngologists
  • ophthalmologists

Working together, our Craniofacial Anomalies Program team will develop a customized treatment plan that meets your child's physical, emotional and social needs—one that involves you and your family at every step of the treatment, from diagnosis to craniofacial surgery.

The future of pediatrics will be forged by thinking differently, breaking paradigms and joining together in a shared vision of tackling the toughest challenges before us.”
