The Department of Dentistry at Boston Children's Hospital is one of the largest pediatric dentistry services in New England, receiving more than 23,000 patients each year.
Our department comprises 11 specialty clinics that offer comprehensive care for a wide variety of dental concerns including:
Anatomy and development of the mouth and teeth
Cleft lip/cleft palate
Dental treatment under general anesthesia
Dental treatment with assistance of conscious sedation or nitrous oxide
Early childhood caries (nursing bottle caries/baby bottle caries)
Injuries to the teeth
Oral pathology (e.g., tumors, ulcers)
Orthodontics and braces
Temporomandibular joint dysfunction
Tooth decay (cavities or caries)
Root canal treatment
Wisdom teeth extractions
Children's is the primary pediatric teaching hospital of Harvard School of Dental Medicine where our providers hold faculty appointments.
