Sometimes fate directs us to our careers. That seems to be the case with Will. At 17, in his native Nigeria, Will was in a serious car accident and had an extended stay in the hospital.

From that moment on, he knew he wanted to be a pediatric nurse.

When he moved to the United States in 2004, he went to nursing school at UMass Boston, and ultimately, made his way to Boston Children’s. “When I moved to the United States,”

Will says, “everyone in school who wanted to work in pediatrics, wanted to work at Children’s”.

For Will, it’s the people who make this a special place. “The work environment is incredible - my manager and co-workers - everyone is compassionate, giving, selfless,” he says. “I wake up at 5:30 in the morning, but never had a day when I didn’t want to go to work”.

In his time off, Will loves to work out do yoga and explore the city.
