Flu Season (October - May)

While seasonal influenza viruses are a year-round occurrence in the United States, flu viruses are most common during the fall and winter months. Influenza activity often begins to increase in October, with the peak times between December and February.

Causing painful headaches, body aches, and lack of energy, the flu and related complications claimed an estimated 80,000 lives during the 2017-2018 season, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
