If you are expecting a new baby, you are welcome to set up a prenatal consultation visit with any of our physicians. The purpose of the prenatal consult visit is for you to get to meet your new doctor, to ask any questions you have about the physician or about Needham Pediatrics, and to make sure the practice will suit your needs.
Please understand that we certainly do not require prenatal visits. These visits are for your benefit only, so please only schedule a visit if you think it would be helpful to you.
At Needham Pediatrics, we charge for prenatal visits. Our fee is $60 for an approximately 30 minute visit. The expecting parent is our "patient" for this visit. In some cases, your insurance will cover the cost of the visit, so long as you get a referral from your own primary care provider (that is, your internist, not your obstetrician).
