Advanced primary care

The providers at Commonwealth Pediatrics are proud to be members of the Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's (PPOC) and the Boston Children's Hospital Primary Care Alliance.

We collaborate with a network of nearly 500 primary care pediatric providers across the state of Massachusetts, and are partners with the specialists from Boston Children's Hospital, ranked among the best in the nation. We are excited to receive extra education about pediatric care from our specialty colleagues.

This means we can help families save time and money by providing care in our office that’s guided by specialist knowledge. That’s advanced primary care.

Of course, sometimes seeing a specialist is necessary.

Because our providers have already started the necessary workup and care, we can then expedite access to a Boston Children’s Hospital specialist. We utilize the Patient Liaison Service at Boston Children’s Hospital to coordinate and schedule patient appointments, making it less stressful for patients and families who need care.

We also communicate directly with specialty providers, and have direct access for providers to view your child’s medical record in our practice so notes, labs, and growth charts are available with the click of a button.

If you have a concern about your child’s health, please call us first. We want to make certain your child gets care in the right place, at the right time. Even if your child previously saw a specialist for that concern, we may be able to help manage them as an outpatient.
