Expectant parents/new babies

Congratulations! Choosing a pediatrician is an exciting decision, but it can be confusing as well. If you are an expectant parent, we offer prenatal Meet and Greet appointments free of charge so that you can come and see what we are all about. A prenatal meet and greet visit is not required for a newborn to be seen in our office, but we’d love to have the opportunity to meet you ahead of time to answer any questions you may have about how our practice works. Please call the office to schedule.

Give us a call after your child has been born to set up an initial visit. This first visit is usually two to three days after hospital discharge, though occasionally can be even sooner. Please remember to bring the packet that was given to you at hospital discharge to your first visit.

Babies born at Mount Auburn Hospital will generally be seen by Dr. James, while babies born at all other hospitals will be seen by a house pediatrician, who will communicate any important information to our office at the time of discharge.

We also offer "Meet and Greet" visits for families of older babies and kids thinking of transferring to the practice.

Prior to your child’s first visit, please contact your previous pediatrician to have your old records transferred, if you don’t already have a copy. You can use this records request form. We require that the immunization record be available at the first visit, but it’s great to have all of the other records ahead of time as well!

For all new patients, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete demographic and personal/ family health history information.
