Catherine is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining Bridgewater Pediatrics in 2020, Catherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Michael’s College (VT) and Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in pediatric primary care at Boston College (MA). Catherine is certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Catherine strives to provide compassionate, holistic care to children and their families. In her free time, Catherine enjoys spending time with family and friends, undertaking (signing her husband up for) DIY projects, and eating too many chocolate chip cookies.

What prompted you to pursue pediatrics as a concentration?

From a babysitter in the suburbs, to a research assistant at Boston Children's Hospital, and now as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Bridgewater Pediatrics, I have always been and continue to be reminded of the spark in children that makes each day so enjoyable. Undoubtedly, children bring an abundance of kindness and light into this world. To be surrounded by this everyday is one of the greatest gifts of Pediatrics.

What are some hobbies/interests that you have outside of work?

When I'm not at BP, you can find me gardening in the backyard, trying out new recipes with my family, or at the beach digging my toes in the sand (or at least imagining I am 75% of the year living in New England!). If you haven't heard from me in a couple hours, don't fret! I'm liking wandering the aisles of Home Sense.

What are some of your favorite aspects of working at BP?

The children and families of BP! As a new(er) provider to the practice, each family has been so welcoming and patient as I get to know their children, pets, great great grandparents, and everyone in between.

Is there a particular area of pediatrics that you are passionate about?

Within Pediatrics, I’m interested in promoting a balanced and holistic approach to growth and nutrition, from our youngest newborns through adolescents. Nutrition plays a huge role in the strength of our muscles, our energy and mood, and the ability to do everything we need and want to do day in and day out. The small changes we make in our diet can lead to big outcomes!
