Vice President, Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

With more than 20 years of impactful human resources experience spanning healthcare, financial services, and technology, Shannon brings proven expertise in building successful human resources initiatives and programs, tailored to the strategies and goals of the organizations where she has served.

Previously, Shannon served as Vice President of Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning for Baystate Health in Springfield, Mass. She was responsible for centralizing and optimizing recruitment across four hospitals with 1,000 beds and more than 12,000 employees.

She developed and implemented innovative programs around internal mobility and talent acquisition onboarding while establishing Lean-based key performance metrics for recruiters. Further, Shannon established a program applying social media and recruitment marketing to critical, hard-to-fill roles, ultimately reducing the overall vacancy rate among nursing positions to less than 5 percent. Beyond her human resources priorities, Shannon also served on Baystate’s Patient Experience Leadership Team, Medical Center Operations Team, Budget Committee, and Culture Committee.

Before joining Baystate Health, Shannon advanced through progressive leadership roles for organizations with increasingly complex recruiting needs and challenges, including Fujitsu America Inc., MassMutual Financial Group, and Kronos.

Shannon earned her BFA (cum laude) from Jacksonville University, and her MBA in Organizational Leadership from Rivier University. She maintains several professional human resources certifications, including SHRM Senior Certified Professional, HRCI’s Senior Professional in Human Resources, and a Learning and Development Succession Strategist certification from HCI.
