Benjamin Warf, MD, has joined Children’s Department of Neurosurgery as a pediatric neurosurgeon. He began his career at Children’s in 1991 as the first pediatric fellow in Neurological Surgery. His combined endoscopic third ventriculostomy and choroid plexus cauterization technique for the primary treatment of hydrocephalus in infants has been adopted around the world and will hopefully lead to the avoidance of shunt-dependence in the majority of children.
James Pert, MD, of Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Medford, has received the Community Pediatrician Award from Children’s.
