DeMaso named Psychiatrist-in-Chief

We are pleased to announce a change in leadership roles in the Department of Psychiatry. David DeMaso, MD, has been named the hopital's new Psychiatrist-in-Chief, while William Beardslee, MD, who served as Chief since 1995, will continue as the department’s Academic Chair.

In these new roles, Dr. DeMaso will have administrative and oversight duties of all clinical, training and research activities in the department, while Dr. Beardslee will focus on mentoring young staff, conducting research, continuing his community outreach and increasing his childhood mental health advocacy work.
