Robert Masland, MD, passed away in April, two weeks shy of 90. As Chief of Adolescent Medicine during the '60s and '70s, Masland's forward-thinking views on treating adolescents revolutionized the division.
Samuel E. Lux, IV, MD, chief emeritus, Division of Hematology/Oncology at Children's Hospital Boston, was recently honored with the 2010 American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (ASPHO) Distinguished Career Award. Haller Award for Excellence in Teaching by the Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR)Ýduring its recent meeting in Boston.
