New books

Fred Lovejoy, MD, deputy chair of the Department of Medicine, and pediatrician Robert Haggerty, MD, of the University of Rochester Medical Center, recently teamed up to write a biography of Children's Hospital Boston's former Physician-in-Chief Charles Janeway, MD. Released in April, Charles A. Janeway: Pediatrician to the World's Children chronicles the renowned doctor's efforts to improve the health and lives of children. The book is available through Harvard University Press at www.hup.harvard.edu.

S. Ted Treves, MD, chief of Nuclear Medicine, who was named the 2006-2007 Mentor of the Year by the American College of Nuclear Physicians and Fellow of the American College of Nuclear Physicians, has released the third edition of his book, Pediatric Nuclear Medicine. It describes the latest advances in PET, SPECT and oncological scintigraphy, and features an interactive DVD with more than 120 clinical pediatric nuclear medicine case studies. Urology in Peabody

Urologist Marc Cendron, MD, is increasing his availability at Children's Hospital Boston at Peabody and will now see patients there two Thursdays a month. David Diamond, MD, will continue to see patients one Thursday a month.
