New faces

Twenty years after completing his internship, residency and fellowship at Children's Hospital Boston, Dale Umetsu, MD, PhD, has returned to the Division of Immunology. Dr. Umetsu built his international reputation in asthma and allergy at Stanford University. He is board certified in allergy/immunology, with areas of clinical expertise in allergy and primary immunodeficiency. To schedule an appointment, call (617) 355-6117.

Terry Buchmiller, MD, has re-joined the Department of Surgery. Children's first female Pediatric Surgery resident in 1995, Dr. Buchmiller returns to the Advanced Fetal Care Center, where she will specialize in general pediatric surgery, abdominal surgery, minimally invasive surgery and maternal-fetal consultation (and surgery). Dennis Poe, MD, has joined Children's Department of Otolaryngology. He specializes in otology and neurotology, with special interest in ear surgery, hearing reconstruction, cochlear implantation for the deaf, and treatment of skull base and temporal bone lesions or tumors.
