Children's Hospital Boston's Department of Otolaryngology (ORL) recently relocated to the 3rd floor of 333 Longwood Avenue, just across the street from the main hospital. The new space includes a colorful waiting room and reading corner decorated with Boston-themed artwork, upgraded ORL equipment and more.

Otolaryngologist-in-Chief Gerald Healy, MD, pictured below, left, with members of the ORL team, said a few congratulatory words at the ribbon cutting on November 8. Dr. Healy was recently elected chair of the American College of Surgeons' Board of Regents, making him the first otolaryngologist and the first pediatric surgeon ever to hold this position.

ORL also recently announced an expanded and reorganized Center for Communication Disorders under the leadership of Howard Shane, PhD, who will serve as director, overseeing the clinical and research operations for each of the five programs:

Speech-Language Pathology Program
Director Geralyn Woodnorth, MA, CCC-SLP

Augmentative Communication Program
Director
John Costello, MD

Diagnostic Audiology Program
Director
Brian Fligor, ScD, CCC-A
Ambulatory Administrative Coordinator Angela Adams

Cochlear Implant Program
Director
Marilyn Neault, PhD, CCC-A

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program
Director
Terrell Clark, PhD
