Adding some muscle
Children's Hospital Boston welcomes Gregory Melkonian, DVM, MD, who has joined the Department of Orthopedic Surgery as a non-operative orthopedist. Dr. Melkonian is now seeing general orthopedic and neuromuscular patients in Boston, Waltham, Lexington, and at Access Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in Exeter, NH.

An advance on cancer
Lisa Diller, MD, has been appointed chief medical director of Dana-Farber/Children's Hospital Cancer Care (DF/CHCC) and clinical director of Pediatric Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Children's. Dr. Diller specializes in treating children with cancer and childhood cancer survivors. Guiding the partnership between Children's and Dana-Farber, her leadership will continue to enable the best possible care for patients receiving treatment under the shared pediatric programs for hematology/oncology, neuro-oncology, solid tumors and stem cell transplantation.

Practitioners make perfect
Children's always-busy Department of Gastroenterology and Nutrition continues to thrive with the tireless care of two nurse practitioners, Lisa Keeler, RN, CPNP-AC, and Jodi Santosuosso, APRN, BC, NP-C. Keeler, who has been with Children's since 1991, brings her special interest in food allergy, inflammatory bowel disease and chronic disease to practice sites in Boston, Lexington and Wilmington. Santosuosso, with expertise in continence, motility and aerodigestive disorders, sees patients in Boston, Weymouth and Norwood.
