Welcome to the Vascular Anomalies Center (VAC) at Boston Children’s Hospital. The VAC is an interdisciplinary team of experts that specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care of patients with vascular anomalies. Vascular anomalies are vessel abnormalities that can affect the capillaries, veins, arteries and lymphatics, either individually or in combination.

Many of the physicians are internationally renowned for their expertise and innovations in this highly specialized field. Our clinical team has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular anomalies and provides care to more than 2000 patients every year with a variety of these disorders from simple tumors and malformations to the most rare and complex syndromes.
The VAC takes an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, meaning clinicians from many different specialties, all with expertise in treating vascular anomalies and the symptoms your child has, will see or discuss your child together so they can have an immediate back and forth interchange and bring all perspectives to diagnose your child and develop a coordinated care plan.
