Second Year Resident



The first year pediatric surgical residents serve as the associate chief residents and spend at least eight months working closely with the chief resident and senior staff in all aspects of general pediatric surgery. Residents are on home call third night and weekend. During the first year, in addition to pediatric surgery, the associate chief residents gain exposure during selected electives to specialties such as: neonatology, pediatric otorhinolaryngology, pediatric urology or pediatric cardiothoracic surgery.
