Research Overview

Dr. Resnick has several ongoing research initiatives, with the primary goal of improving the lives of children and young adults with craniofacial and maxillofacial problems.

Dr. Resnick’s main research interests include congenital craniofacial anomalies including craniofacial syndromes such as Hemifacial Microsomia, Apert and Crouzon syndromes, correction of neonatal and pediatric Robin sequence with obstructive sleep apnea through distraction osteogenesis, and assessing outcomes of orthognathic surgery.

Dr. Resnick also has an interest in the effects of juvenile idiopathic arthritis on the temporomandibular joints, and is studying the long-term effects of this disease process in adults in order to help inform treatment decisions for children.

Dr. Resnick has been invited to lecture regionally and nationally on these topics.
