Research Overview

Dr. Wang’s research is mainly focused on the pathological angiogenesis of blinding eye diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinopathy of prematurity and rare inherited eye diseases such as familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR) and Norrie disease.

Using animal models and molecular biology methods, she ought to study the underlying pathogenesis of these eye diseases and explore novel interventions to prevent their progression.
