The Multidisciplinary Programs at Children's Hospital Boston were designed to allow teams of physicians and scientists with training in different scientific fields to work together on cutting edge problems in medical science. The programs are located both in the John F. Enders Pediatric Research Laboratories and in the Karp Family Research Laboratories. Faculty from a variety of clinical departments and divisions may share space in a single program and work together on focused research problems. In an era when solutions to clinical problems require large teams of investigators with complementary training and skill, the Multidisciplinary Programs position Children's Hospital to be a leader in the application of Vascular Biology, Stem Cell Research, Neurobiology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, and Clinical Research - to important topics of clinical interest.
The hospital has designated 6 research areas as foci for the initial Multidisciplinary Programs.
 Clinical Research Program Neurobiology Program
 Genomics Program Stem Cell Program
 Informatics Program Vascular Biology Program
