Dr. Richard Sidman
The Director of the Neuroscience program of this MRRC in the 1970's and 1980's was Dr. Richard Sidman, one of the most distinguished neuroscientists of his generation. This role in 1994 was assumed by Dr. Michael Greenberg, one of the leading molecular neurobiologists of the modern era.

Dr. Samuel Latt
The MRRC Program in Genetics was headed by Dr. Samuel Latt, whose work in the 80's served as the model for setting up the governmental resource of libraries for all of the human chromosomes. Since his untimely passing in 1986, the program has been led with great distinction by Dr. Louis Kunkel, elected to the national Academy of Sciences at the age of 32 and a world leader in his field.

Dr. Charles Barlow
Dr. Charles Barlow led this MRRC as Program Director during the 20 years following its inception and remains a trusted consultant for the current Program Director, Dr. Joseph Volpe, who assumed this role in 1990.
