Research Overview

Led by Caterina Stamoulis, PhD, our laboratory is involved in a wide range of studies in Computational Neuroscience.  We develop novel signal processing, mathematical and statistical methods and models with the goal to characterize brain dynamics and networks from high-dimensional neural data. We are interested in how the healthy brain processes information and performs local and distributed computations and how brain networks interact with each other to facilitate sensory information processing and cognitive performance. We are also interested in how neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders affect brain network dynamics and consequently cognitive function.
