Adam Shaywitz

Brief Personal Statement:

MD/PhD student, (hopefully) about 1/2 way through program. Originally from Connecticut (New Haven area), but have been a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan since age 6 (long story).

Research:

My research is focused on understanding how extracellular stimuli lead to transcriptional activation. Specifically, I'm interested in how a particular transcription factor, CREB, may cooperate with a particular co-activator, CBP, in mediating responses to signals such as neurotrophin stimulation, calcium influx, and cAMP activation.
