| Trial Description: | Scientists will study genes to better understand the cause of people being short, which could lead to new treatments for patients with short stature. Participants will have a one-time visit to Children’s Hospital Boston, which will last about one hour. A family interview, simple measurements such as head circumference and arm span, a DNA sample via blood draw or saliva, and a 3D photo of the child’s face will be taken. The child’s medical record will be reviewed annually up to the age of 18. A Best Buy gift card and travel reimbursement will be available. |
| Recruitment Info: | Eligibility criteria: Height below -2 standard deviations (below the 2.5th percentile) at enrollment visit or prior to starting growth hormone therapy, Age ≥ 3 years, No known genetic cause of short stature
