The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) would like to invite the research and clinical hospital community to enjoy a freshly made cappuccino or espresso in the Enders Lobby on Thursday June 26 from 10 am until 2 pm. For those who do not know, The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) works closely with Children's Hospital researchers and clinicians to foster innovation, protect inventions, and establish relationships between the hospital and industry. The office's mission is to broadly improve the quality of healthcare and patient outcome by partnering with biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies to translate the cutting edge research conducted at Children's Hospital into new therapies, diagnostics and devices. Our services include evaluating novel ideas and discoveries, protecting intellectual property, marketing & licensing technologies to industry, facilitating the formation of start-up companies, business development and research collaboration formation, and funds and resources for technology development.
