Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience

Division of Developmental Medicine
Children's Hospital Boston
Under the direction of Charles A. Nelson, Ph.D., the Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience at Children's Hospital Boston are a research unit dedicated to furthering our understanding of brain and cognitive development in typically developing infants and children, as well as children at risk for atypical development and those who suffer from autism spectrum disorders.

From studying the development of memory and the ability to recognize faces to uncovering how these processes may change with age and individual experience, our laboratories are engaged in several research projects both locally and around the world to expand our knowledge of these cognitive functions.

We invite you to learn more about our laboratories and ongoing research initiatives by clicking on the menu links to the left.
