Technology & Innovation Development Office
Promotes and advances the intellectual capital of Children's Hospital Boston through collaborations and partnerships with industry, for the public benefit. Licensing opportunities.
Office of Clinical Investigation
Reviews all research activities involving human subjects in order to protect the rights and welfare of human research subjects participating in research activities conducted at or supported by Children's Hospital Boston. Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Office of Corporate Sponsored Research
For all research agreements with corporate or industry sponsors, including clinical trial agreements.
Office of Sponsored Programs
Primary point of contact for grant application review, award acceptance and administration, expert resource for application and award strategies, sponsor relations, and inter-institutional administrative arrangements related to governmental, foundation, and other non-profit sources of funding.
Office of Fellowship Training
The Office of Fellowship Training (OFT) is established to assist CHB fellows to access resources both at Children's Hospital and in the Greater Boston area. The office organizes career development seminars and social functions on a monthly basis and identifies relevant training opportunities in the Longwood Medical Area.
Office of Faculty Development
The goal of the Office of Faculty Development is to facilitate the career advancement and satisfaction of HMS faculty at Children's Hospital Boston, to foster the careers of all junior faculty, and to increase leadership opportunities for women and minorities.
Children's Hospital Program in Responsible Research (CHPRR) The CHPRR provides education in the responsible conduct of research for post-doctoral research fellows. The curriculum is based on the NIH requirements for education on the responsible conduct of scientific research for trainees supported by F32 and T32 awards, K awards, and similar funding sources.
Research Finance
Post-award financial compliance. Hospital financial policies and procedures related to grants and contracts. Sponsor financial reporting and invoicing. Indirect cost rate information.
Research Management
Special projects and project management. Primary liaison to research administrator community. Administrators' Round Table. Research Internet administration and research communications. Support for research governance committees. Special events.
Research Computing
An Information Services group focused on the unique needs of the CHB research community, Research Computing stores and backs-up over 3.5 terabytes of data; builds and distributes research applications; hosts an End User Resource Center in Enders 151; prints large-format posters; administers desk-top support and census (Dell and Apple certified); provides technical tips and user support.
