Clinical Research
|
Children's Hospital Boston has a long, distinguished tradition in clinical research, providing a foundation of experience and expertise across all of our departments, divisions and programs. The collaboration between clinical researchers and basic scientists has resulted in remarkable advances in child health, making Children's one of the leading pediatric research institutions in the world. Our researchers have pioneered breakthrough discoveries in polio, pediatric remission of acute leukemia and in the field of angiogenesis, in which blood vessels plan an important role in the growth of tumors.
Clinical researchers at Children's Hospital Boston are committed to identifying new approaches to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood diseases and to promoting the health and well-being of children. Clinical research is supported by funding from federal, non-profit, and corporate sponsors as well as by several specialized programs and services established by the Hospital.
