|
|
|
David Williams, MD, joined Children's Hospital Boston in late 2007 as chief of Hematology/Oncology and director of Translational Research, a newly established program that will provide funding and infrastructure to help translate research discoveries into treatments that will help patients. Here, he discusses the importance of bridging the translational gap, the challenges in doing so, and how Children's plans to accelerate this process in the future. He also speaks to the need for more research funding for pediatrics.
