Mentoring Event - All Star Mentoring Event

The PDA Mentoring Committee is very excited to invite you to our fourth All-Star Mentoring event.

We are bringing together 15 of the most successful and influential scientists from both Academia and Industry in the greater Boston area to talk to you! This year's line up of mentors includes: Drs. Feng Zhang (MIT), George Church (HMS), Steve Anderson (Sanofi), Mike Acker (Novartis), and more! (please see attached poster for the complete list of attending mentors.) Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity! Registration is open NOW and space is limited!

How will the event work?

We will try to assign each person to one industry and one academic mentor. During two consecutive mentoring circles of ~1-hour each, you and a few other postdocs will sit down with a mentor to discuss anything that is on your mind!

(Some common questions postdocs tend to ask are: What skills can I develop at this stage in my career that will be the most individually rewarding and at the same time the most beneficial for me in the long run? How do you manage work/life balance? What characteristics or skills set you apart from your peers and enabled you to be so successful so quickly?)

Appetizers and drinks will be served during the two hour session and we will close the evening with a networking reception where you will have the opportunity to interact with other mentors present. Dinner and drinks will be served during this reception event.

We will also announce the winner of the ‘2016 BCH Best Mentor’ award during the event presented by Gus Cervini (Vice President, Research Administration).

When: Thursday 3rd November, 4:30-7pm. Reception follows at 7-8pm

Where: Longwood Hall, at the Longwood Galleria
