Shane Cronin PhD

Research Fellow

Background and Research Interests
I received my BA (Hons.) in Human Genetics from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and my PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Vienna, Austria. I have also researched at The Scripps Research Institute, San Diego, the University of Pittsburgh and the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology in Vienna. I am interested in identifying novel genes and pathways involved in the initiation and maintenance of chronic pain as well as the role the immune system plays in affecting the nociceptive circuit and vice versa.
