Christine Sieberg, Micah Ludwig, Andrew Becker, and Connie Hsu had poster abstracts accepted for presentation at the Society of Pediatric Psychology's Annual Conference. In addition, Laura Simons had a symposium accepted for this conference titled Breaking the fear cycle: Exposure treatment for children with chronic pain. This symposium was co-authored by BPP lab members Allison Smith, Molly Basch, and Micah Ludwig. Lastly, Christine Sieberg will serve as a Discussant for a presentation on Young Adult Interventions during the Adolescent and Young Adult Special Interest Group. Join them all April 14-16 in Atlanta, GA!

December 2015

Molly Basch, Pearl Kim, Emily Broman, and Sarah Perlo had poster abstracts accepted for presentation at the American Pain Society's 35th Annual Scientific Meeting. Also, Christine Sieberg had a symposium accepted for this conference titled When the Pain Really is in Your Head: Phenotyping, Treating, and Modeling Centralized Pain. Look for them May 11-14 in Austin, TX!

Congratulations to Laura Simons for receiving an R01 from NIH titled Fear Learning in adolescents with chronic pain: Neural and behavioral mechanisms!

Erika Chow, Domenic Filingeri, Abraham Ichinoe, Jessica Laplante, John Polites, Aquina Wihak, and Rainy Zhang submitted their theses for fulfillment of their Master of Science degree at Boston University School of Medicine.

Christine Sieberg will be presenting a poster at the 10th International Symposium on Pediatric Pain. The poster is co-authored with BPP lab members Allison Smith and Juliana Manganella. Look for her May 31-June 4 in Seattle!

Christine Sieberg will be chairing a symposium at the Society of Pediatric Psychology's Annual Conference in San Diego titled Translational Research in Pediatric Psychology: From Animals to Application. Dr. Sieberg's individual talk as part of the symposium is titled Defining an Animal Model of Gene and Environment Interactions in Pediatric Persistent Postsurgical Pain, co-authored with BPP lab members Juliana Manganella and John Polites.
