Writing a Career Development Grant

A grant writing symposium for novice grant writers, co-sponsored by the Boston Children's Hospital Clinical Research Program and Brigham and Women's Hospital Center for Clinical Investigation and BWH Department of Medicine.

Overview: This two-afternoon symposium is designed for faculty, fellows and other novice grant writers who are applying for career development funding. The course will provide an overview and resources for your grant submission. Topics include:

  • What are Ks and which one is right for you?

  • NIH 101

  • Career Development Plans

  • Specific Aims

  • Significance and Innovations

  • Data Analysis Plans

  • Biosketches, Resources & Environment

  • Identifying Funding Sources

  • Budgets

  • The Review Process

  • Art of Grantsmanship

Course Details

Different topics are presented each day; we encourage participants to attend both afternoons.
