Translational Neuroscience Center Symposium

The Translational Neuroscience Center (TNC) at Boston Children's Hospital will host its symposium entitled Multi-disciplinary Platforms for Neurotherapeutics at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. The Symposium is open to scientists and physicians from academia, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, disease-based foundations, and government.
The TNC was launched in January of 2013 as a collaborative effort by the Children's Hospital departments and divisions of Developmental Medicine, Genetics and Genomics, Neurology, Neurobiology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry to accelerate efficient translation of new ideas from today's science into effective prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cures for pediatric nervous system disorders.

The second Boston-wide Neurodevelopmental Disorders Symposium was held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. The event was hosted by Massachusetts General Hospital in collaboration with the Translational Neuroscience Center (TNC) at Boston Children's Hospital and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This symposium, entitled New Directions in Neurodevelopmental Disorders, focused on new frontiers in the genetics of neurodevelopmental disorders, developmental considerations and early detection, new approaches to the neurobiology of neurodevelopmental disorders, and current clinical controversies.
This conference, sponsored by the Anne and Paul Marcus Family foundation, was open to scientists and physicians from academia, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, disease-based foundations, and the government. The day-long symposium included guest speakers and a poster session for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.

On October 26, 2015 the TNC, in collaboration with MIT and MGH, hosted the inaugural Boston-wide Neurodevelopmental Disorders Symposium in the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. The symposium, entitled Approaches to Studying Neurodevelopmental Disorders, focused on innovative tools and methods used to probe the brain and novel treatments for the brain.The day-long symposium included guest speakers and a poster session for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.
The TNC held its Inaugural TNC Symposium in Boston on October 29, 2014 at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center.The TNC Symposium featured guest speakers and a poster session.
Translational Neuroscience Center Seminar Series
These seminars take place from 12 pm to 1 pm in the conference room on the 12 floor of the Center for Life Science (CLS) building at 3 Blackfan Circle. They are accessible to all faculty and staff at Boston Children’s Hospital and other Harvard-affiliated institutions who have access privileges to the CLS building. All others who want to attend should contact the TNC office email@example.com, so that we can make arrangements with CLS security for you to enter the building.
