Project Respite Care seeks to match children with special health care needs with students who have an interest in medicine, nursing, or human services, while the child is an in-patient in the hospital.
Introduction to the Program
Children with special health care needs who are on the Complex Care Service at Boston Children's Hospital are eligible for this program.
Please complete the Family Preferences Questionnaire so that we may match you with an appropriate student. Once completed, please return the questionnaire by e-mail, as an attachment to Rosie Monardo.
Students who serve as Project Respite Care mentors are undergraduate or graduate students studying nursing, physical therapy, medicine, education, or other human services. Students come from local schools, such as Harvard University, Boston University, and Simmons College. Serving as a volunteer with Project Respite Care provides students with a unique experience in the hospital setting.
