How to help

Donate blood

Family and friends can donate blood or platelets at our Blood Donor Center in the Pavilion Lobby. The center is open Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To schedule an appointment for a blood or platelet donation, call 617-355-6677. The center also takes walk-in blood donations during hours of operation.

Gift baskets and gift cards

There are a variety of gift baskets available through the hospital's catering service. Also, vouchers for meals at the Cafe at Children's are available for purchase.

Flowers and gifts

Fresh or dried flowers and plants are not allowed in patient rooms on certain floors. Cards, letters, toys, games and Mylar balloons are welcomed, however, latex balloons are not allowed anywhere in the hospital.
